2018 NY Tech Summit: A Recap

Lume Strategies attended the 2018 NY Tech Summit last week, held at the Turningstone Casino Resort in Central New York.

In addition to exhibiting and meeting with both vendors and buyers, Lume also attended the educational breakout sessions and was a featured panelist.

The two-day event featured sessions revolving around four key themes:

• Functional Security
• IT Evolution
• Transformational Leadership
• Lifecycle of IT Employees

Our Director of Digital and Mobile Strategy, Frank Gullo, closed the conference. His presentation on “Creating a Better Digital Experience for IT Job Seekers,” focused on how to improve the candidate experience through the latest in mobile, social media, collaboration technologies, aggregators and website integrations, as candidates are shifting their searches to social in addition to traditional job boards.

Both presenters and exhibitors ranged from local, Central New York companies to global brands, and offered a wide array of discussion points and thought leadership.

The event also offered networking opportunities where Lume was able to discuss current IT trends with fellow IT professionals, demo the latest in technologies, and interact hands-on within a tech sandbox on the exhibit floor.
